Paris France
Overview
Paris, on the banks of the Seine, is one of the world’s most visited cities, famed for its museums, cafés, boulevards and iconic monuments. Every neighbourhood has its own character and the centre is ideal for exploring on foot. It suits both a weekend break and a longer stay.
Getting around
The metro, RER and buses share one ticket system; a rechargeable Navigo Easy card is the simplest option. From the airports, take RER B from Charles de Gaulle and Orlyval or tram T7 from Orly. The centre is very walkable and Vélib’ bikes are widespread. Watch for pickpockets on the metro.
